Ok anyone who knows me knows I love making fun of people. Some of my favorite subjects to torture are southerners. Well any way I heard this story and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity.
Ok so there was this guy [that's the best alternative I can come up with for "once upon a time."] And he was on a long car trip through the south somewhere. And he drives through this small town. As he's driving through he notices a nativity set in the middle of town. But something was kind of strange about it. All the Wiseman had fire hats on! So he kind of puzzles over that for a while. Then at the end of town he stops for gas. When he goes inside to pay he asks the clerk "why does the wiremen in the nativity seen have fire hats on? The clerk replies in great disgust "you northerners never read your bibles do you?" The man quit taken back replied that he read his bible every day. To this the clerk roles her eyes and reaches under counter and pulls out her bible. Then flipping to the Christmas story she says in a deep southern accent "see its right here "The wise men came from a fire.]
In case you didn't figure that out southerns pronounce far kind of like fire. Awww the joy of pocking fun at others. *Sighs.* I just love it.
